Blueberry Hand Pies

I remember my brother brought a Camp Pie iron home from Boy Scout camp one year.  It looked a lot like this:

You may remember them. They were used to cook pies over a campfire. You could make either sweet or savory pies. We opted for sweet, using white bread and pie filling.  Which sounds horrible to me now but at the time I liked them.

This past weekend, I introduced my kids to the joy of eating  pie with your hands.  I made Gluten Free Blueberry Hand Pies.

I wasn’t fast enough to take a picture before Charlie started eating his!

   The great thing about eating  with your hands is the clean up is a breeze; no plates or forks!
